WASHINGTON GOES TO UTAH

In addition to The Off Hours, here are a few other films premiering in Park City that boast Washington ties:

-The Catechism Cataclysm, written and directed by Todd Rohal and produced by Megan Griffiths and Lacey Leavitt, was shot mere months ago here in Seattle and on the Yakima River in Thorp, WA.  The film, which stars Robert Longstreet and Steve Little (from HBO's "Eastbound and Down"), continues to hurtle through post-production and will premiere in the "Park City at Midnight" category.  Megan and Todd have known each other since attending Ohio University School of Film over a decade ago.

-The Oregonian was written and directed by born-and-bred Washingtonian Calvin Reeder, shot by Ryan K. Adams, and stars Lindsay Pulsipher.  Lindsay currently appears on HBO's "True Blood," but Seattlites know her best from Calvin's short films Piledriver, The Rambler, Little Farm, andThe Snake Mountain Colada.  Jerkbeast, a feature that Calvin co-directed (with Brady Hall) and First Aid for Choking, Megan's first feature, screened on the same night at the 2003 Local Sightings Film Festival.

-The Details was shot in the late Summer of 2009 in Seattle.  Directed by Jacob Aaron Estes and starring Tobey Maguire, Elizabeth Banks and Laura Linney, the production utilized many of the Northwest's finest crew and actors.
